CGH has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Sr. Aviation Specialist to join the CGH Team.



Provide aviation expertise for projects that may include NextGen, National Aerospace (NAS) and Air Traffic Management (ATM).



  • Coordinate activities with stakeholders and team members, and prepare briefings and other project status overview materials and communicate with a variety of audiences, from technical teammates to high-level FAA stakeholders.
  • Business opportunities with existing customers.
  • Provide programmatic expertise and technical assessments on Air Traffic Management (ATM) and the National Airspace System (NAS) system concepts
  • Review and evaluate Special Systems designs and interface with designers and subcontractors to ensure quality and conformance of the installation to user requirements.
  • Communicate and interface closely with the client to develop positive relationships and cooperation.
  • Understand applications and systems across the entire application stack, including the web tier, the application layer, datastores, message delivery services, and back-end data processing.
  • Provide technical recommendations to assist the FAA in integrating complex data sets and develop performance metrics.
  • Work with team leaders and members engaged in the analysis and study of complex aviation technical and operational issues. 




Number of Years Experience Required:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in Aviation/FAA.

  • 5+ years of experience in processing, analyzing, and integrating complex aviation sets, such as Aviation System Performance Metrics (ASPM), Airline Service Quality Performance (ASQP), Traffic Flow Management System (TFMS), CountOps, airline schedule data, National Offload Program (NOP), National Traffic Management Log (NTML), Operational Information System (OIS), and weather data.


Minimum Education and Certifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Math or related field from an accredited institution.

Technical Skills Required:


Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:  

  • US Citizenship required
  • Prior experience working with aviation, FAA, or NextGen programs/projects
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Strong business judgment and federal/commercial business knowledge
  • Ability to identify business opportunities and plan actionable steps required to capture the business
  • Ability to fully understand the company's business strategy and their dynamics within the marketplace
  • Demonstrated success in presenting and communicating ideas to select stakeholders and project management
  • Use critical thinking skills to identify and determine alternative solutions/approaches
  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills required
  • Approx. 25% Travel
  • International Experience Preferred
