CGH has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Network Engineer to join the CGH Team.



The ideal candidate serves as performance engineer and works with the architects and developers on the team to design high performance systems. The candidate will also serve as technical lead and guide other system engineers and developers on the team on performance management and automation.



  • Provide senior level network technical staff functions regarding new systems design efforts.
  • Provide high-level expertise in design decisions relating to hardware systems configurations, and support to software design and database, user interface design, and display features for operational systems.
  • May serve as a senior level manager of large multi-disciplined department of IT engineers, and specialty technical personnel involved in the design and development of infrastructure for advanced automation systems.
  • Perform advanced network analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance; works under limited supervision; performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Analyze local and wide area network systems, application design and development including planning, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media.
  • Support the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
  • Perform system administrator duties to include installation and configuration of hardware and installation of Security Patches.
  • Resolve complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to users.
  • May serve as technical team or task lead.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant computer and network hardware and software applications.
  • Work with UNIX operating systems and Solaris workstations.



Number of Years Experience Required:

  • 3+ years' experience designing and administrating systems in cloud environment.
  • 7+ years' experience administrating systems based on various platforms including: Windows, Linux, etc.
  • 8+ years' experience in telecommunications network development.


Minimum Education and Certifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or the equivalent.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) Certification preferred.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • U.S. Citizen or person with valid U.S. Work Visa who has lived in the U.S. for three or more years
  • Must have experience with one or more systems and architectures and associated hardware: mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
  • Must possess good writing and communication skills.
  • May be necessary to be available to work non-standard hours during peak times.
  • Ability to gather tec hnical requirements and assigns the correct engineering level of effort.
