CGH Technologies, Inc. (CGH) is a business solutions firm, specializing in Data Management, Software Engineering, and Business Intelligence solutions. Located within the Washington corridor, CGH has worked successfully with Government, Commercial and International sectors, providing management, development and maintenance, and support of large and complex environments. CGH has an exciting opportunity for a Database Administrator to join the CGH Team.



The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of business practices and be able to identify information solutions and will be familiar with utilization of off-the-shelf (GOTS/COTS) technologies and geographical relational spatial data systems to synthesize such solutions.



  • Ensure performance, integrity and security of a database.
  • Planning, development and troubleshooting as required.
  • Installing, patching, performance tuning and monitoring of database management systems in high available systems.
  • Defining file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user applications.
  • Developing, maintaining, and implementing database backup and recovery procedures for the processing environments and ensures that data integrity, security, and recoverability are built into the DBMS applications.
  • Projecting long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function.
  • Analyzing relationships between work activities and data records reflecting those activities for the purpose of determining what information may be synthesized from multiple data sources.
  • Interacting with FAA producers and end-users of data to create logical and physical models to trace the migration of data among databases.
  • Aiding in development of a data element dictionary to reduce duplication and to establish an authoritative source of factual data and will be focused on elimination of redundancy.
  • Providing technical assistance and support including collection, evaluation, and analysis of program data and information.



Number of Years Experience Required:

  • 5+ years' experience supporting highly complex database engineering projects using advanced knowledge of database engineering and administration.


Minimum Education and Certifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Computer Skills Required:

  • Atlassian (including, but not limited to Jira/Confluence)
  • SQL Server 2012
  • MongoDB


Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • U.S. Citizen or person with valid U.S. Work Visa who has lived in the U.S. for three or more years
